Petite Moment from Albany New York

Hey guys for my petite moment today I thought I would show you where I am. I live in Chicago but I'm in Albany New York for the Summer. Albany Is the capital of New York and I have a summer job here. The picture shown here is what I see across the street from where I work which is a Mexican restaurant that my aunt owns. I have learned so much working this summer. I hope you guys are doing well and I will have more pictures up in other posts!

Petite Moment: Steve Madden Loafers

Hey guys! We are going to be doing these segments called "Petite  Moments" where we show you just a little piece of our daily lives. You may have seen these kind of segments on other peoples blogs, so we thought we would hop on the bandwagon as well! Recently, I went to the store and saw these killer loafers!(shown below). They are Steve Madden and I just think they're amazing! I love the gold sparkly color and the spikes(they look like they can be used as a weapon, which is always a plus :P)   Personally, I don't think I'd ever wear them because they're a little much, but I seriously admire them! I love the loafer trend and plan on buying a pair soon.

Do you like this trend? Do you have a pair of amazing loafers? Please share in the comments below!

Summer Time is Mojito Time!

I'll begin with this great recipe for a Virgin Mojito-
First grab a pint glass to put everything in.  Then put a teaspoon and a half of sugar, really you can put as much sugar as you desire. Then make sure to put about six leaves of FRESH mint.  Then put a splash of water in.  Once you are done you must squish the mint leaves so that they can give the mojito some flavor.  Then put a lot of ice in the cup followed by fresh lime juice, a whole lime is recommended for this part.  Once this is all done you have the option of filling the rest of the cup with seltzer or seltzer and a splash of sprite.  When all of the ingredients have been put in the cup you simply mix it all together and then drink and enjoy!

......................................................................................................
It has officially been summer for about a week now and I think that Mojitos are a perfect fresh drink for the hot summer days to come.  This summer you should defiantly try to relax by the poolside with a mojito if you already haven't. If you cannot get yourself to a pool I highly suggest buying a wimpy little inflatable pool.  As silly as that may sound I know for a fact that just dipping your feet in will help cool you off, and use your imagination a kiddy pool maybe more fun than you think.  I mean didn't we all love our inflatable pools when we were children!
Mojitos and pools are fresh and summery, to stay with the theme I recommend going to the Bath&Body Semi-Annual sale! I have spotted many Fresh scents that are extremely inexpensive, as low as 3 dollars! As for poolside hair I recommend throwing it up in a ponytail or bun.  I suggest not spending more than five minutes on your hair when you know you will be around water.  This way if you hair gets wet or messed up you wont have to worry or be upset that your hard work went to waste. Being poolside with a mojito is a perfect opportunity to TAN.  Many of us have a goal of being tan by the end of the summer.  And a mojito can make the tanning enjoyable and help make the time move faster.

So this summer I encourage you to go out by the pool with a mojito and tan or simply relax.  Take out your music and have a good time.  These mojitos are also great for parties so invite people over and have a good time with friends.

I hope you try this recipe and comment with what you do by the poolside this summer.

Beauty Review: Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm

Recently, I went to Ulta because I had a coupon that was about to expire and I don't like to let those go to waste! I was looking through all of the aisles and I noticed the Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain and Balm. The main reason this caught my eye was because Emma Stone was the model wearing it and I love her. SO I picked up one of the colors that caught my eye and happily took it home.

First of all, I picked up the wrong product. I wanted the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain, which is both a lip balm and stain together in one. The product I got(shown below) has just a regular clear balm on one side and a stain marker thing on the other side. The color I got was "Passion." I put the balm on first and liked it, very soft. THEN, I put the stain on and it felt rough. The marker was personally a little too rough for my lips! I kept at it, because I wanted to see what the color looked like. At first, you can't really see the color, but once you start going over your lips a little bit more, the color starts to show up. I found it was a little difficult to get some areas of my lips, such as the corners. The color was very bold, which was not exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a subtle color that would look natural. The stain is very long lasting and difficult to take off. Overall, this product is great if you want a long lasting/bold color and if your lips aren't sensitive. This product just wasn't for me. I am interested in getting the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain and I will let you guys know if I like it or not!

NEON Invasion!!!

We have been noticing that Neon colors are a huge trend this summer. We have seen it in almost every way possible that it can be worn.We have spotted neon purses, bottoms, tops, shoes, and even neon makeup. We respect the trend and think that it is awesome, but it's a trend that neither of us can bring ourselves to try.We both tend to lean towards neutral colors, but since we find this to be such a cool trend we are going to try it.We are not going to go all the way into this trend BUT we are going to try and incorporate it a little bit into our personal style. This is a trend that we won't splurge on because of the fact that it is a seasonal trend. This is such a huge trend that even top name designers have been joining in on such Rebecca Minkoff, Jason Wu, and a handful of others. Because of the fact that this is a seasonal trend we recommend making neon purchases at lower-end stores such as Target, Kohls, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx. For example we found these cute neon yellow shorts at Target!

Cherokee® Girls Neon Denim Short
Target $14.99

This a trend that we find to be hard to wear. We cannot bring ourselves to going full out on neon clothing. If you find that you also cannot make a huge neon purchase we suggest a small piece of neon be brought into your wardrobe, such as an accessory. We found these neon bangles at Forever 21 that we think can be incorporated into any outfit.

Forever 21 $5.80

Whether you go full out NEON or just incorporate a neon piece into your wardrobe you are sure to look and feel a little "brighter." >lol.
Make sure to comment with how you wear neon this summer!
